FishWise offers additional sustainable seafood consulting that may not fall into the categories previously mentioned. Examples include:

Conservation fund management: Many seafood businesses have established funds to support conservation efforts, or offset impacts. FishWise provides a 3rd party resource to ensure these funds are transparently accounted for and directed effectively.

Fisheries and farm assessments: Product assessments conducted on retailer and distributor inventories often reveal fisheries or farms that lack a recent color ranking or certification. FishWise’s science staff can conduct the pointed research necessary to provide recommendations to fishermen, fish farmers and their supply chains about any areas of concern and next steps for ranking or certification.
